What is Bitcoin?

There's a reason why Bitcoin has fast gained a reputation for being extremely safe and advantageous; it promotes security and privacy. Thanks to Bitcoin, gone are the days when you have to input any of your personal or private information when making a transaction. Instead, all Bitcoin transactions are made using two keys:
  • A Public Key: This is your visible Bitcoin address
  • A Private Key: This is only known to you
When you send Bitcoin, your unique signature will be a combination of your public and private keys, and all Bitcoin transactions are secured by military grade cryptography.
